Job description

This position is a data scientist position with a role as study statistician, providing statistical expertise and strategic drug development leadership for clinical development projects. You will partner with data scientists and cross-functional stakeholders in the creation of strategies to address drug development needs and designing experiments, and prepare and evaluate study results for Health Authorities and the medical/research community. As a candidate you should have a finished M.Sc. or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative sciences with a strong statistical focus. Good programming skills in R is desired.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support and/or lead statistical and analytical activities and teams at a clinical trial study level, including end-to-end activities relating to the trial design, data analysis and interpretation (key deliverables include protocol, randomization, data monitoring charter, analysis plan).
  • Cross-functional collaboration with, for example, Clinical Science, Safety Science and Regulatory partner functions
  • Support of data-driven decision making and using statistical and analytical methodologies and tools to help the organization solve complex problems
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and working groups with focus on statistical and analytical methods and tools
  • Contribute to study publications and presentations, and provide analytical support for exploratory activities such as personalized healthcare biomarker development

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, with a passion for learning about drug development
  • Understands and respects cultural differences when interacting with colleagues globally
  • Proficient in statistical software packages, such as R and/or SAS
