Job description

The Position

Do you believe that analysis of data can tell stories that inform decisions and/or actions so that the highest quality medicines reach patients faster?

The mission of Roche Product Development Quality is to achieve unrivalled transparency with health authorities so that our medicines are brought to patients safely and quickly. We instil confidence that our non-clinical, clinical and pharmacovigilance activities comply with regulations and guidelines. We partner with internal functions, process owners and study teams to provide a quality framework that protects patient safety and the company’s licence to operate.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to connect data with science and business processes and analyse data to help identify risks, trends in partnership with colleagues within and beyond PDQ.

You have a curious mind, critical thinking skills and can apply these in supporting and shaping our quality strategies in our molecule and GxP process domains.

You are experienced in working with data from diverse sources, in various formats, and in the use of advanced data analytics techniques including data wrangling, big data and such.

You also have a passion for overseeing and governing the end-to-end data lifecycle including cataloguing, data privacy and data security.

Forming part of a highly successful quality analytics and insights team, you can apply your expertise in data analytics, on a very diverse set of data sources ranging from clinical science, development operations, risk and safety management, and/or regulatory affairs to uncover new insights that helps transform the way we “do” Quality.

We believe in broadening and deepening the capabilities of our team and invest in cross training across various domains. As part of your responsibilities, you will partner closely with the Informatics organisation in delivering solutions needed to support data analysis at scale. You will also play a role in progressing the transformation of our organisation in being data driven through various strategic initiatives.

Who you are

  • You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
  • You are a self starter, needing very little direction and you’re searching for your next challenge in your career, one where you are able to creatively apply your extensive experience in data analytics.
  • You’re a strong influencer and can negotiate the most complex issues towards effective solutions.
  • To succeed in this role, you are able to display initiative, balance attention to detail with big picture thinking, and you are focused on securing results with determination to solve problems.
  • Your diplomacy and communication skills will also be needed in supporting the business and senior management within a cross functional, international environment.
  • Degree qualified in computer science or data analytics discipline combined with proven experience in applying data analytics techniques and problem solving
  • You ideally have knowledge of drug safety and clinical development including GCP and GVP regulations, but this is not essential.
  • Willing to occasionally travel regionally and internationally as required.
