Computer Vision Data Scientist

I am partnered with an exciting and dynamic surgical robotics start-up who aim to revolutionize surgery with state of the art surgical robots.

They are looking to hire a talented Computer Vision Data Scientist (AI) to join a talented team to help further develop the product and help improve patients health.

Role and Responsibilities

Contribute to new technology development in the area of computer vision using ML/AI applied to image fusion, augmented reality and robotics controlParticipate in integration of new ML/CV algorithms into existing and future robotic platformsContribute to research projects that develop a variety of algorithms and systems in computer vision and machine learningSupport academic collaborationsDevelop maintainable and robust softwareCreate procedures for implementation and testing of algorithmsParticipate in the design of medical devicesWrite and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, algorithms, and programsSupport company goals and objectives: policies, procedures, and regulations

Job requirements

Hands-on experience with C/C++ and PythonStrong experience with at least one of the deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorchImplementation of Neural Network architecturesExperience with hardware such as robot components, electronics and sensorsStrong engineering practices, debugging / profiling skills, familiarity with multi-threaded programming Knowledge of real-time operating systemHands-on experience with GPU accelerated algorithmsProblem solving skills through analysis and evaluationAutonomous, creative and able to work in a fast paced and multi-disciplinary environment: (R&D: mechanics, electronics, algorithm, Quality Assurance and Regulation)

Qualifications

MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldYears of experience in software development
